Here’s An Opinion On:

A Beach Column Shower with Foot Wash is an excellent solution for locations near water sports areas such as beaches, pools, and recreation areas. There will always be a need for people to shower or wash both their bodies and their feet before entering the pool or any indoor facility. These shower columns have become extremely popular near beach areas because hotels and home owners do not want visitors to “track-in” sand and other debris. This shower product utilizes a very space efficient design and will be able to serve more users in a shorter time frame. These shower columns are frequently found near beach areas, swimming pools, and sports facilities. In areas of high traffic the property owner may wish to install multiple shower columns.
Beach Column Showers with Foot Wash can be installed in both indoor and outdoor locations. Indoor and outdoor swimming pools want to limit the volume of contaminates entering the water. Contaminates such as suntan and sunscreen lotions on the body and grass on the feet are the worst offenders for swimming pools. Anytime the facility owner can minimize the volume of contaminates entering the water then he / she will be lowering maintenance costs.
There are a number of other features associated with a Beach Column Shower with Foot Wash. Some models are single user models. Other models will service one to six users simultaneously from a single water supply connection. This design feature reduces overall installation and construction costs. Another design feature is easy access for any required plumbing maintenance. In addition, the shower columns are preassembled prior to shipment which will reduce labor costs for the customer. And one of the overlooked features is that these shower columns are an excellent addition to any remodeling job. The newly installed shower columns will often by-pass existing worn pipes and valves and thereby save the facility owner a significant amount of money.
Beach Column Showers with Foot Wash are available as freestanding models. Some of the freestanding model are constructed of a stainless steel column and anchored to the floor by its cast iron drain. Other models use a similar design but the construction material is heavy gauge steel with a powder coat finish. Usually the cast iron drain is placed in a wet concrete pit in the center of a concrete floor. To maximize the traffic flow and usage of the shower the facility owner should have easy ingress and egress for users and an area large enough to service the expected number of users. The facility owner and maintenance manager must remember to vent the drain to allow quick drainage of the waste water. If the shower column is placed in an indoor facility this means that vent pipes will probably have to extend upward through the ceiling. The incoming water supply is usually routed through the floor. Indoor locations may be able to route the incoming water supply through the ceiling. Some models have shrouds that will conceal overhead pipes in indoor locations.
A Beach Column Shower with Foot Wash can be ordered in various colors including green, gray, yellow, red, black, and blue. They weigh approximately one hundred and ten pounds and generally have brass valves which are highly corrosion resistant. In addition, in some models the water flow rate can be adjusted by the user to suit his or her needs. Other shower column models have a predetermined maximum flow rate of two and one half gallons per minute. And finally, these shower columns are also easily accessible by the handicapped.
